Fic!

So I've been working on this for a while and finally finally got a chance to look it over today.

Title: Trust Me (You Don't Want To Know)
Word Count: 1,970
Characters/Pairings: Sirius/Lily, implied Lily/James, implied Sirius/Remus
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: adultery, teh pr0n
Summary: There's no time to question these sorts of things, and they never were the type to have regrets.
A/N: Title shamelessly taken from AFI's The Last Kiss. Shameless PWP. Don't say I didn't warn you!

trust me... )

Ooh, shiny!

In my attempt to post here, I'm updating at the same time as LJ! Cookie for me!

This is actually using a [info]nest_of_spiders prompt I've had stored in a folder forever, because I thought it was a great quote and needed to have something written about it. The story kind of got away from me a bit, but I'm generally happy with how it turned out. And hey, it only took five months after getting the prompt to write it! Woo-hoo! /sarcasm

Title: First Love (six times)
Word Count: 624
Prompt: The fifth prompt for August- "The magic of first love is our ignorance that it can ever end." -Benjamin Disraeli
Summary: It's different for everyone, but no less magical. Six drabbles of six different cases of love.
Characters/Pairings: Lily/Severus, Remus/Sirius, James/Sirius, James/Lily, Peter/OC
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: none
Notes: Each drabble is exactly one hundred words, except for the last one, which is 102. Leave it to James and Sirius to demand two extra words.

Fic Roundup

So, I got a little tired of Semagic, because for some reason my computer really hates it. So I often ended up with double posts or errors or what have you, so I became very lax in posting to IJ. Thus, here's a fic roundup of everything I've posted on LJ that has yet to make its way here, because I'm trying to use IJ more and LJ less.

Title: Keep Me Here (Up On Top of the Mountains)
Rating: I'm gonna go with R
Prompt: Written for my prompt table at [info]100quills number 9, circle
Word Count: 894
Summary: Sometimes all people need is to be together.
Warnings: language, foursome, if there's anything else that should be listed please let me know.
Notes: Right. So as unrealistic as the following scenario is, hey that's what fic is for and the prompt just would not let me write anything else. I'm sure you all know how it is :). Also, the title is from The Scene Aesthetic's We've Got the Rain on Our Side. It's a great song and what I listened to on repeat while writing this.

keep me here

Untitled drabble, 100 words, rated PG-13? R?

Title: Drunken Philosophy
Word Count: 305
Summary: "Tell me something. Is this pretend?"
Warnings: Absolutely none that I can see.
Characters: Sirius, James, Lily
Rating: PG
Notes: Written for [info]serendipity409 over on LJ, for being a very awesome person.

tell me something-

Another fic for [info]100quills[info]

Title: Tomorrow (and tomorrow and tomorrow)
Word Count: 991
Summary: It's their first year out of school, and the New Year is looking gloomier by the minute.
Prompt: Tomorrow
Characters/Pairings: Lily, James, Peter, Remus/Sirius
Warnings: Fluff.
Rating: PG-13
Notes: Title is taken shamelessly from Macbeth. Other than that- enjoy :)

fic is here

Anyhow, that's everything, I think! Now to update here more often! And also, I must begin tagging things. *makes mental note*

Warning: Squeeing Ahead

I interrupt your life for this important annoucement:

ZOMG 100 USERPICS WHAT?!

I didn't realize IJ had that many for free users. I am having much fun uploading pictures I never thought I'd get to use. Also, I am horrid at saving credit. If anyone sees something that's theirs, just let me know and credit shall be given!

Ficcy fic! 20 Random Facts...

Title: 20 Random Facts About Lily Evans
Author: [info]opheliet
Characters: MWPP, Lily, Petunia, Snape. Pairings galore.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 921

A/N: Finally relented and decided to do the Harry Potter Random Facts Fest. Hope everyone enjoys!

Hey look! Fic!

Yup, that's right, actual story stuff! I wrote this for my brand new prompt table at [info]100quills (erm...that's an LJ comm, not IJ. But I dunno how to change it, so just pretend kthxbai). I'm kind of excited about the whole prompts thing, but then again I'm excited easily so maybe it's just me :X.

Title: Five Promises Sirius Never Kept
Characters: Sirius, Regulus, Remus/Sirius, James, Lily, Peter
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: mild language
Summary: Sirius has made many promises.
Word Count: 1,392
Notes: The prompt was number 40, promises. I'd absolutely adore feedback of any kind on this, but then again I suppose in fandom that pretty much goes without saying. Anyway, um...enjoy!

My fic, let me show you it... )

Sep. 13th, 2007

Sweetness, can you believe this?

I really should be sleeping, or cleaning my room which currently looks as though an F5 tornado has passed by about three times, but when are any of us on LJ doing what we should be doing, right?

Let's see, updates, updates...

Hamster Hunt 2007 ended successfully. The little bugger was waiting by the front door the next morning just before I went to leave. Now she's in an escape-proof cage mansion chilling in her awesome neon hamster wheel.

I am also writing. Thank goodness. I was beginning to think the ability had left me. I'm hoping to get something posted this weekend, I just have to edit a little bit and then, fingers crossed, it'll be up very soon.

Is it strange that I don't like writing with Mr. Paper Clip in Windows? I keep feeling like he's going to freak out or something after reading what I'm writing. Completely irrational? Maybe. But for all I know he's a secret agent for LJ and as soon as I write something BAD he's going to report me. YOU NEVER KNOW. O.o

Job interview today went quite unsuccessfully. The nice lady looked over my list of previous employment, informed me I wouldn't make nearly as much there, and was essentially overqualified, and did I still want to pursue a job there? Erm, no thank you, I said politely, and that ended there. Though she was nice, it obviously wasn't entirely too helpful to the whole 'getting a job thing.' I do have another interview somewhere else tomorrow and I'm hoping beyond hope it works out. Rent's due soon.

I'm taking this class about Conflicts and how to properly manage/handle/resolve/whatever them, but it's more about the psychology of conflicts themselves, and at times can be fairly interesting. Anyway, the funny thing is, it basically boils down to telling us all that conflicts are constantly happening, all the time. And there's not a damn thing we can do about it. I sit in class smiling and doodling thinking about how what we've learned can be applied to fic. Um. I'm not strange at all. Also, the professor gave the greatest quote the other day:
"I mean come on- he was a man of God for Christ's sake!"

I looked up from doodling and giggled a little, I must admit.

And also, since this entry has been immensely boring, a few random facts about me. Because I don't want to go to bed.

1. I'd rather clean the bathroom than dust or do dishes or something like that. It's never grossed me out or anything, and when I was little I'd gladly take that chore over vacuuming or something else.
2. I have a highly irrational fear of crickets, and will scream bloody murder if one gets near me and prompty hightail it in the other direction. I hate those things.
3. On a similar note, I'm allergic to spiders, but seeing one doesn't induce the same kind of manic fear a cricket does. Now, the spider-cricket mutants that live in the basement of the house where I grew up- those would bring any person to their knees crying. I'm serious. They were crickets. And spiders. Combined. Leggy things that could jump. And they wanted to kill people. I'M SERIOUS.
4. I always make to-do lists for myself, and at any given time might have two or three of them with different things on them. Sometimes they include such important things as 'Take a shower, pig'.
5. There are certain staples that I cannot live without in the house. If it's really tight money-wise and there's only a few groceries I can get, these are things that are necessities: Bread, it doesn't matter what kind, if i have to I get the discounted "needs to be sold today" bread, some kind of jam (blackberry is the flavour of the moment), tea (that has to have caffeine), and sugar (although I've been known to down tea without it when I absolutely had to stay awake). I could live off of those four things alone and be pretty much satisfied. Without them, I go absolutely batshit insane a little bit crazy.

STELLLLLLLLLLLLLA!

It is 11:00 and I have to be up at 6:45 but I am not asleep. Why?

BECAUSE MY NINJA HAMSTER ESCAPED.

She snuck out of her cage because she is a rotten teenager and I wouldn't give her sweets and she hates me and she is somewhere in my apartment and I don't know where. NOT FUNNY, LILY. NOT FUNNY. I am sad because she is gone and, while I have been assured by my friends and my mother that she is somewhere I believe otherwise. She has obviously disappeared into thin air. THIN AIR. So I can't sleep because I'm WORRYING about a HAMSTER.

So everyone should keep an eye out for her because my super genius ninja hamster is probably in teh internets. I am not even kidding. She's probably reading porn.

/pointless post

And the obligatory open letter:

DEAR LILY-HAMSTER,
I DO NOT CARE IF YOU WANT SWEETS, IF YOU SNUCK OUT TO BE WITH SEV-HAMSTER, JAMES-HAMSTER, OR SIRIUSREMUSPETER-HAMSTER, YOU NEED TO COME HOME RIGHT NOW. IT IS NOT FUNNY. I AM GOING TO BEAT YOU WITH A LITTLE HAMSTER BELT IF YOU DO NOT COME HOME. IF YOU ARE NOT BACK BY MORNING I WILL SET A LOLCAT ON YOU. FOR RLZ. PLEASE COME BACK I MISS YOU.
LOVE,
me.

Lady of the Flies

Fruit flies have invaded. It's quite unpleasant.

They come every year, so I should have been better prepared, but alas was not, and since there is a tomato field right across the street from the new apartment, I was in no way prepared for this. It's...ugh. For one thing, when I open the door in the morning, they are literally swarming around waiting to attack. And though we have sprayed with fly spray that is no doubt slowly killing me, they continue to persevere. It's getting ridiculous and last night they were on my pillow SAY IT WITH ME EWWWWWWWWWW.

Sure, there is the vinegar trick, and all those other nifty things, but they don't work that well. I just want it to get so cold those little buggers freeze their arses off. Har-umph. And the air conditioner leaked today in the apartment above mine, and the carpet is soaking wet. Mr. Maintenence Man trekked down here to tell me that.

In other news, Pringles are my new crack.

Have much work to be doing, therefore I am posting. I'm pretty sure I could ramble until dawn and still not have my work done. I'm awesome that way.

Cut for random meme thing )

Isn't that interesting? :P I thought so. Then again, I've always wanted a career in lewd street performing. I hear it can be quite profitable.

I really need to go work now, but I'm hopelessly bored and have no stimulation whatsoever to keep me motivated. My Magic Downloader is not working, and therefore I cannot get the song I want, and I am out of Pringles. Fuck. *totters off to kitchen for tea and Pringles*

I'm such a classy girl.

Aug. 30th, 2007

Ze Fic, here it is.

Previously posted to nest_of_spiders. Hoorah. Also, I am in a silly mood.

Title:
One Lie Sirius Black Never Told (or did he? DUN DUN DUN)
Characters/Pairings: Sirius/Lily, James/Lily
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: infidelity, slight cursing
Summary: There's right and wrong, and then there's reality.  (or is there? DUN DUN DUN!)
Word Count: 984
A/N: Um...enjoy? Oh and mind the cliches. I'll be over here, wondering what possessed me to write this... (Also, as always, comments are extremely appreciated.)

[Hey look! Fic!]

TOMORROW IS FRIDAY OMG.

Also, I just have to post this. Quote of the day:

Aug. 29th, 2007

...

My writing is broken.

I've been staring at a Word document for about an hour. It's still blank.

*sits*

*waits*

Still broken.

Aug. 27th, 2007

Because these are the things that really matter

No time for breakfast this morning, so by the time lunch rolled aroud I was STARVING. In twenty minutes I wolfed down a bowl of cereal, a peach, and two waffles. I currently have tea steeping which I am SO excited for because I am heavily addicted to the stuff and didn't get any this morning and how sad is all of that?

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled program.

Also, my scroll button thing is broken. :(

Aug. 24th, 2007

Because I need this...

In other news, the plans I originally had for tomorrow got scrapped about ten minutes ago and now I've got to do a lot of driving around and other such wondiferousness.

Also, today sucked.

Okay, enough emoness. Tis Friday, and I hope everyone in LJ land has a fabulous weekend.

Oh dear

SO I kind of took a nap around 7:00, got up at 8:30, and now I can't sleep. I have been moderately productive but now I'm out of things to do and I'm not tired. I wish everything was open so I could go do stuff I have to wait until tomorrow to do, when I'm going to be exhausted.

Elephant Man needs to shut up or seriously, I'm going to go up there with a pointy object and MAKE HIM. And it won't be pleasant. Oh no.

In pointless news, have you ever heard a car alarm go off and then went it stops, it still sounds like it's making noise? No? Just me? Okay then. :D

Anywho, I'm actually going to post fic now. *gasp* I know! Both of which were posted to[info]nest_of_spiders

Title: The World Spins for Us
Characters: James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and Lily
Rating: PG
Prompt: Day 14- the song Passenger Seat by Death Cab for Cutie
Word Count: 503
A/N: Please don't overdose on the sugary fluff.

[count the stars and make a wish]

Title:
One Lie Sirius Black Never Told
Characters/Pairings: Sirius/Lily, James/Lily
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: infidelity, slight cursing
Summary: There's right and wrong, and then there's reality.
Word Count: 984
A/N: Um...enjoy? Oh and mind the cliches.

Funny story about this one. It's actually an old ficlet, and as I was digging around in my files pretending to organize them, I stumbled across it. I decided I didn't want to leave it to die in my folders of d00m (they really are hopelessly messy), so I rescued it and cleaned it up and sent it to a good home. Also, the title sort of just came out of nowhere. And I can't stop writing Sirius/Lily. That is all.

[wanna know a secret?]

OHHHHHHH WHY AM I NOT ASLEEP?

Aug. 22nd, 2007

Call IXII

I was in the process of dyeing my hair and somehow didn't realize that I'd gotten a fair amount of dye on my arm. (That's what I get for LJ surfing). Result? It looks like someone viciously assaulted me and left giant bruises all up and down my arm. I guess it could look worse, I'll settle for bruises rather than scary blobs I suppose.

Also, Elephant Man who lives above me is not happy tonight. I can tell because he's stomping around. A lot.

Also also, I don't wanna move from LJ. I've been playing around with GJ and IJ and neither of them feel like the home that LJ did when I came here. They're too jumbled at the moment because fandom is all thrown everywhere.

I has fic to post, but I actually just spent an hour and a half watching television and forgot that I was posting an entry. Um. Methinks it's bedtime now. Have to get up early and deal with various crap things, then I'll post fic. And maybe write fic.

Yes. That sounds good. Even if fandom is in danger of disapparating, there is always room for more fic.

Pwning message of the day, found on a church sign on my way home:
Not every question has answers on Google.

Made me giggle.

Aug. 20th, 2007

on the subject of things I just have to post...

My mom is sometimes awesomesauce.

We just had the following conversation:

Mom: It's thunderstorming here. I love it.
Me: Well it's not storming here :(
Mom: I'm sending the storm to you :~)...that's a smiley with a nose.
Me: I think his nose got broken. Poor smiley.
Mom: Yeah smiley man got in a fight and got smashed because he was just too darned happy.

...hee.

there was a little froggy...

I have fic! Yay! I had a spurt of writing last night which made me very, very happy as I've been so busy settling in that the writing bug was sort of gone for a while.

The people above me have a dog that I believe is too big for a tiny apartment. It might not be a dog though, I'm starting to think more along the lines of elephant.

It stormed last night, but was merely gloomy all day today, and I didn't do much of anything (though I did score a free toaster. Hoo-rah.) Need to edit my femgen, but I'm still waiting for one last beta to get back to me.

All right, as promised, I bringeth fic (posted to  [info]nest_of_spidersearlier):

Title: A Quiet Night
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Knowing someone is leaving doesn't make it any easier to let them go.
Characters/Pairings: Remus/Sirius, a cameo by baby!Harry
Word Count: 701
A/N: I am terribly unsure about this, so any feedback is prized beyond belief.

[It was a feather of paint...]

Aug. 17th, 2007

So.

I moved today and still have boxes and boxes surrounding me that I really should unpack but kind of don't have the energy for. The apartment is nice (not as good as promised, but they never are, are they?) And apparently the residents last year were less than kind to the poor place.

Oh well.

I'm about to curl up with some TV (how very cultured, I know), possibly write and/or read a little, and then definitely go to bed. Things like this always take a big emotional toll on me, for whatever reason. I'm not just tired, I'm exhausted. Probably because I'm insane. :P

Anyways, happy to see LJ hasn't evaporated or exploded in the past few hours. I'm loooking forward to reading some really good fic tonight, because I think that's just what I need. Unfortunately, I'm spoiled and I don't have wireless internet here, so no more writing in bed. (URGH! I can't tell you how frustrated that has made me. I *need* wireless. I live and breathe it. I take my computer everywhere to write. Now I am severely confined.) /rant

Okay lovies, I'm off to relax. Happy Friday!

Aug. 15th, 2007

Lotsa Random Things

The wonderful, amazing, goddess/moderator of femgen extended the deadline to September 30. YAY! I mean, I definitely would have had my fic done, but now it's so much nicer not having to rush so I can hopefully tweak everything a little bit more. Of course, I could be tweaking for the rest of eternity, given the option :P

Also, I have procured a dwarf hamster. Um. I'm not sure how it happened.*

Also also I move on Friday. I, um, need to pack. Like, now. Except my stomach hates me and I don't think I want to get out of bed. Ah well.

*Well, no, that's not entirely true. I do know how it happened. I just wasn't expecting to come home with a hamster. Anyway, she's about the size of two cotton balls and her name is Lily and she likes to burrow under things and then jump out ninja-hamster style. That is all.
